The main aim of the Friends Group is to promote the Library within the community, as it is a very valuable resource with much to offer, and the more it is used, the more likely we are too keep it. In addition to providing monthly information in Willingham News, the group also organise regular events at the Library, such as local history exhibitions, talks and Poetry and Prose evenings. Flourishing Reading and Family History Groups are based at the library.

New ideas for events in the library and out-of-hours use of the building are welcome, as are the views of library users about the service.

New members always welcome. There is a small one-off subscription of £5 which is used to help fund the events. Members do not need to play an active role – some join simply to show that they value and support the library.
