Police Panel

The Cambourne area panel meetings rotate around different villages, including Willingham.

The web route is via the main police website www.cambs.police.uk then you select 'my neighbourhood' then get to your policing team by entering your post code, then to 'local policing priorities' and on that page you will find a link to the Swavesey panel.

Meeting notes will be posted on the website and notices of future meetings will be posted in the Willingham News, alternatively contact Histon Police Station or our PCSO.

Everyone who lives or works in the Cambourne Police area has the chance to get involved in setting the policing priorities for their neighbourhood. By attending your regular (usually quarterly) neighbourhood meetings you can raise any concerns or issues you have in your neighbourhood with police and local authority representatives. The police prioritise based on feedback from the panels.

Police panels are open to the general public to improve contact and communication. In the past:

  • Concerns were raised by residents that police do not respond to their needs.
  • The police say they are committed to local policing and listening to the needs of residents but have a limit on their resources.

In 2008 mruk research was commissioned to undertake a survey amongst the residents of Cambridgeshire. Over 3,000 people took part through face-to-face interviews, and online, through the panel meeting process.  To see the results go to
